Dr. Lin is a health services researcher and health economist who evaluates the impact of health policies or clinical interventions on population health, access to care, and healthcare costs. She uses quasi-experimental designs and large-scale observational data to assess program and policy effectiveness across care settings. Her research extensively covers the impacts of the Affordable Care Act, including Medicaid expansion and Accountable Care Organizations, and other value-based care models (e.g., CMS Hospital Readmission Reduction Program). She specializes in cost-effectiveness and comparative effectiveness analyses to guide equitable healthcare delivery. Through her research, Dr. Lin aims to advance policies and practices that promote health for everyone, everywhere.

As principal investigator, Dr. Lin is leading an NIH-funded project to evaluate the impact of a Medicare clinician value-based payment program on health outcomes. She has served on the Advisory Committee of three AcademyHealth Interest Groups (Health Equity, Learning Health System, and State Health Research and Policy) and contributed to abstract reviews for several national and international conferences held by AcademyHealth, American Society of Health Economics, and International Health Economics Association. Dr. Lin serves on the Editorial Board for Journal of Ambulatory Care Management. In addition, she is a standing member of the Health Systems and Value Research (HSVR) Scientific Review Committee at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
